DG Heath in Swansea, South Wales, recently announced that they were the company chosen to provide the decking and balustrade for the recent Morriston Hopsital Neurology Department Project, Tom’s Cabin. The project was a collaboration between Family Housing and ASW Property Services Limited.
Dean Health, owner and operated of the Swansea timber company says, “We were proud to be of assistance in this project. Our company regularly supports many local charities and we do what we can for others.”
Tom’s Cabin required major renovations before it could be used. The service departments, along with DG Heath and other building companies, worked to improve the rehabilitation and learning experience of those who have been affected by brain injuries. Heath states that it is a worthy cause, indeed.
“Our goal in life should always be to give back,” Heath says. “We were contacted by the producers of DIY SOS, who asked that we donate materials to assist in the building of the Roots foundation building recently, as well, and again, we were pleased to help.”
The company donated timber to the second project, which involved building a new structure in Penllergaer Swansea. The project involved a number of tradesmen and other volunteers and Heath says that it was an honor to have been a part of this redevelopment project. He recently held a press conference where he expressed his deepest thanks to the BBC show DIY SOS for allowing his company to take part in this project. The project took only 11 days to finish.
